Monroe 4-H Goes To State Dairy Contest

The district 4-H and FFA agricultural judging contest was held Saturday, April 24. in Whitley county. The Monroe Mere Men 4-H ciub’s dairy team coached by Eugene Ringgenberg placed second in the dairy ebntest and will advance to the state contest held during the Indiana State Fair. Herb Ummel’s 4-H dairy team from Elkhart cdiuity, always a top contender, was firs*, place with 809 points. Eugene’s team scored 805 points in winning second place. Team member are Karen Ringgenberg, Kerry Ringgenberg. Bob- Osborn, and Ross Osborn, 'all of r 2 Pierceton. Wakarusa high school, Elkhart county, placed third with 803 points and will also compete in the state contest. Bob Tusing. Roger Smoker. Leo Arj'in. and Jack Stookey.
