Major Myers In Leopoldville
Major James M. Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Noble D. Myers of Syracuse, left April 13 from the John F. Kennedy international airport for Leopoldville, Republic of the Congo, where lie will assume the duties of Operations Officer of the' United States Military Mission to the Congo. His wife and family will join him there within a few weeks. In December, Major Myers returned from Africa where he had spent six months in extensive travel and study of that continent as the termination of his graduate studies program at the American university. Washington, D. C. He has ixx-emly completed an intensive in the French language as preparation for his new assignment. Major Myers’ graduate program ■ covered advanced study in the language,: government, social lii<tory. geography, philosophy, armed forces., and literature of Afr ca [and contimiou< areas. He will receive i the master of arts degree in absentia at graduation ceremonies to be held [in June 1965. . Milford-Syracuse Bridge Club Meets Mrs. John Connolly.
