BPW Club Meets At Marley’s Steak House The Business and Professional Women’s dub of Syracuse met at Marley’s Steak House south of Syracuse for its March dinner meeting, Tuesday, March 9. Table decorations Were in keeping with St. Patrick’s Day. The president; Mrs. Leonard Barnhart, presided at the business session when memorials were arranged for two recently deceased members. Mrs. Helen Srobarger and, Mrs. Charlotte McSweeny. Members volunteered to assist with securing blood donors for the blood mobile which will be in Syracuse on March 26. The program was given by James Stuckman of Milford, who showed colored dides of Indiana Parks. The hostesses were Miss Ethel Bowser, Mrs. Noble Blocker, Mrs. Louise Byland and Mrs. Charles Dean. There were 29 members present. Charles and Gary Ritter of near ! Toledo, 0., were in Syracuse, Sat-1 undav on business.

Mt. Tabor Church Will Present A Special Program The Hopewell Quartet of Kouts will present a special program of gospel songs in an evening sendee at 7:30 Sunday, March 21, at the Mt. Tabor Church of Gdd. They have appeared in many programs throughout Indiana. Illinois, Michigan. and Ohio, and also on numerous radio stations. The members of the quartet, who all’ hold down full time jobs along with their singing, are Earl Sommers, Don Gingerich. Ron Gibson and Marion Birky. The Mt. Tabor church is located three miles south, seven and onehalf miles west and one-half mile south of Milford. The public is invited to attend the service. SAMARIAN CIRCLE HOSTS TO SERVICE GUILD The Service Guild were guests of the Samarian Circle of the Syracuse Methodist church Wednesday morning, March 10, at the regular meeting. Coffee and rolls were served by Mrs. Jon Bushong and Mrs. Richard Ahrens as the group arrived. Mrs. James Fry gave the devotions. Mrs. Robert Searfoss gave the lesson on “Africa” from the study book “The Church’s Mission Among New Nations". There were 23 members present. The groups separated ‘for business meetings with Mrs. Charles Fs Kroh, president of the Service Guild and Mrs. Ernest Rogers, president of the Samarian Circle, presiding over their respective groups. The next meeting to be held April 14 will also be a combined meeting with the- Service Guild as the host group. If you’re anxious to .get gosh your garden, why not start by pruning your rose bushes? GOODWILL HD CLUB MEETS AT HOUSE OF FRIENDSHIP i The Goodwill Home Demonstration dub met Wednesday afternoon. March 10. in the House of Friendship with 12 members present. Mrs. Ralph Coy, vice president, opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag and the club creed. Mrs. Emma Mabie gave the meditation using quotations from Shakespeare. Mrs. Eldred Mabie gave the health and safety remarks on “polio shoes’’. Mrs. Hazel Miller, the guest gave the project lesson entitled “Party Planning and Favors”. Mrs. Coy gave the program planning lesson. • ■ ■ Mrs. Cleo Hen wood led the group in singing “My Wild Irish Rose” the song of the month. Mrs. Blanche Kline, president; presided at the business meeting. Hostesses■ were Mrs. Philip Lee and Mrs. Em- i ma Mabie. I Busy Bees Meet With Mrs. Roudabush The Busy Bees Home Demonstration club of Milford met with Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Roudabush for its March meeting. Club president Mrs. Cleveland Shuder opened the meeting and read for meditation an article en- i titled "My Purpose”. Health and safety report was given by Mrs Doral McFarren on "Frost Bites and Sun Bums”. Mrs. Arthur Gilbert gav e remarks on gardening. The club will continue sponsoring a 12 year old Indian girl through the Christian Children’s Fund for its -yearly project. The . lesson on program planning was given by Mrs. Don Ahrns. A buffet luncheon, in keeping with St. Patrifk’s Day, was served to Fred Personette of Syracuse, wth Mrs. Delbert Mpneyheffer cssist- '.
