McCormick-Cutter was given the xmtraet to furnish the Syracuse with a new dump truck and T. L. Kline received the contract for the storm sewer to be installed at the Harris funeral home at the Tuesday night meeting of the Syracuse town board of trustees. The bids were opened by town attorney Robert Reed There were two bids on th truck, one from Wawasee Motor Sales on an International, at 52.353-58 and the one from MeCormick-Cutter or. a Chevrolet truck at $2,300.90. On the installing of the storm sewer two bids were received. One from Hughes Digging for six-inch tile at $1 70 and the other from T. L. Kline for six-inch tile at $1.60. Clerk - treasurer Walter Calnon read the agreement between the town of Syracuse and the Turkey Creek Township trustee for the operation and maintenance, of the Syracuse fire ? department, which was approved by the town board. Board member Vernon Beekman had received a letter from the owner of a boat house located on the channel at tlie Huntington street bridge, giving the town of Syracuse
