[WQGW UXBy JOHN PEYTON g| w <\\ 5 ? • Vk*C \\ oT \ \ SENSIBLE SI MMER EATINti So many people who take their vitamins every morning all winter long, feel that once summer is here, it’s no longer ' necessary to have that Unicap with their morn ing orange . juice. It’s true, of course, that summer fruits and vegetables are excellent sources of vitamins and minerals. But it’s .also true that summer eating habits tend to be more, erratic than winter schedules. Hot summer weather may not be aS conducive to good appetite, and cold sodas and quick snacks may cut down on the desire for regular ' meals, at a season when we may be most« active. ‘ The wisest suggestion is to try to eat three well-balanced meals every day regardless of . heat' or busy schedules. That means including the basic food groups recommended by the U. S. Department of Agriculture; milk, poultry, meat, eggs and fish; fruits and vegetables; ■ and bread and cereals. It's Time For Plain Talk
(Continued from page 1) / by people of good faith: Ais could be done in this instance, for example, if the school board took a new look at the Sutton site, which is now under option. This would more nearly please all four townships than either the Kline site or Bucher site. We’ve heard not a single word against the Sutton site. ■ ' If Plain township leaves the Lakeland the corporation will for many years be second" to the fine Warsaw school system in this area. The corporation will suffer in more ways than one. We call on the Lakeland school board to readjust its sights, reconsider the Sutton property as the site fol the new Lakeland high and make an overt effort to bind up the wounds that exist. Then we can get behind the new school plan'to the mam and move speedily ahead.to give the Lakeland corporation one of Indiana’s finest high schools.
