Y., spent a few days last week with Mrs. Jorgenson’s father, Fred Haab of Milford. The Jorgensons left on Sunday morning for San Diego, Calif., where they will make new home. Teachers Hold Departmental Meeting !■ A departmental meeting of the : ip the Lakeland Community School Corporation s several schools were held on Wednesday afternoon at' the Syracuse school. Departments represented were home ec, math, art, foreign language, science, social studies, busi- : ness education, music, physical ! education, industrial arts, English, speech and dramatics, library and j agriculture. Present at the meeting were Philip ( Fawley, Jeanette Harvout. Eleanor ' Wamtr, John Strouse, James S. Stryker, Michael Neff, James Alford, Mary Whiteman. Betty Arthur, Joseph Judkins, Jose Thompson, Jack Ford, James A. Kline, Maxine Robinson. Richard Crampton, Dr. Merle Strohm of Purdue university, and Supt. Lewis S. Immel. The teachers presented ideas in their fields as part of the setting up of a program on the needs of the school corporation. This is part of the preliminary plaiiming stage of the new high school. The building is to be built around the school program and not the program around the building.
