meeting Mrs. Otto Wiggs, president, turned the meeting over to Mrs. Forrest Ramser who introduced Mrs. Preston. Mrs. Preston told the dub about her shoe collection. She was one of 23 women in the United States who worked. as a shoe tester for a the-

atrical company. Mrs. Preston was required to wear shoes and after a specified time sent a complete report back to the company. The shoes were made by most of the well known companies. From the 500 pairs in her collection; Mrs. Preston brought several for the club to see., two pairs which had belonged to Carman Miranda, one pair which had been owned by Paulette Goddard, a pair with six and a half inch heels and another with five and a half inch heels. She also showed a lamp and ash tray which her husband had made from ! shoes. The hostess served fruit cocktail cake with whipped creani and coffee. The next meeting will be the annual Christmas party to be held December 14 at Ruble's in Milford. Members are to be there at 6:30 p. m. Syracuse Boy Hit By Car Saturday Night I David Van Lou, age 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Van Lou, Syracuse was struck by a car, Saturday night, Nov. 28, w’hile crossing the street at Main and Huntington streets, Syracuse. Syracuse police reported that William E. Peterson. 17, of r 1 Syracuse, was the driver of the auto. They stated that the boy dashed in front of the auto. Extension Office Lists Lessons For 1965 Mrs. Ruth McCleary has listed the project lessons to be given to the Home Demonstration clubs in the coming year. They include leader lessons on: planning a wardrobe, program planning (for vicepresidents), choosing becoming colors for individuals, gladioli and their care, health quackery, planning the use of the family income, wise buying of food for busy homemakers, and using vegetables in meals. Each club must choose six lessons. Special interest lessons include: sewing for children, weight control. inexpensive cuts of meat and their use. using cake as a party dessert, charm and personality, using convenience foods and ideas for Christmas.
