Census Os Agriculture Questionnaires Sent To Kosciusko County Farmers Questionnaires for the 1964 Census of Agriculture are now being mailed out to fanners and ranchers of Kosciusko county, according to Herbert Hayes crew leader in charge of the versus in the tyThe questionnaires are expected to reach the farmer within a fewdays. This will, allow the farmers a period of time in which to consult- their 1964 farm business records in order to answer on the form accurately before enumerators begin calling on individual farmers to collect the questionnaires. These visits are scheduled to start on November 16 in this county. An enumerator will call on every farmer in the district under his supervision. the crew leader said. At the time of the call, the enumerator will help 'the tanner complete answers to any questions .that prove difficult to understand and check the form for accuracy.. NEW PRODI CTION AVERAGE BRATTLEBORO, Vt. — A new’ herd production average for milk and butterfat has been announced ( for the reg stored Holstein herd | owned by Oliver Hihschman and | Sons. Syracuse. As reported by the Holstein-Fries-ian Association of America,. -the herd has completed its latest hiding vear with a per cow. average os 14.139 lbs of milk and 5*7 lbs. of butterfat, based on 24 completed lactation records. Purdue university supervised the.. wdgb - procedures m cooperation with the official herd improvement programs of the Holstein Association. This performance level compares favorably to the average U. S. cow's annual output of 7.500 lbs. of milk and 275 lbs of butterfat. Herd production averages are calculated on the commonly employed, two milkings per day. 305 day, mature equivalent basis to provide a comparison standard for selection in registered Holstein breeding programs. .

Mrs. Jack Gerber, and new granddaughter. Jacquelyn Kay. Mrs. Mildred Van OrsdaU of Albion and Mrs. Mary Hearld of Columbia City visited their mother, Mrs. Anna Homan, at Milford Tuesday. They ate dinner at the New Paris drive-in. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Beer and sons. Tim. Greg, and Mike, of Fort Wayne were visitors Sunday afternoon in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Beer and Mr. and Mrs. Don Beer and family, all on r 1 Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Sparklin of Syracuse Lake. Mr. and Mrs. David Clem and son Bruce of Goshen, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laudeman and son Max Alan of Urbana were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mrs. Irvin Coy at Milford.
