Work To Begin Soon On New $1 Million Building Construction is expected to begin next spring on a new Si-million general office complex for United Telephone Co. of Indiana at Warsaw. T. A. Danielson, president of United of Indiana, said Saturday that preliminary plans have been completed for t.h e 50,000-square-foot, one-story structure, which will be built on a 16acre tract two miles east of here on the north side of U. S. 30. He said that the building, of contemporary glass and masonry design, would house all of the departments and personnel of the company’s general office which now are housed in several buildings in downtown Warsaw. ■ ' Permits Expansion According to Danielson ; the building has been designed by Everett I. Brown Co. of Indianapolis to permit future expansion to about twice the | size of the original struture. He add- , ed that an auxiliary building would be put up on the site for storage of vehicles and permanent records. The new buildings and a 120-car I blacktopped parking area will be surrounded with land-scaped grounds to enhance the eastern approach tc Warsaw. Danielson observed. Danielson described United's plan ! as expressing its faith in the continuing growth of its Indiana and Oliio companies, both of which are based here, as well as the economic stability of Warsaw and- the other 98 com- i munities which the companies sene. UNUSUAL RECIPES TOMATO SOUP CAKE Sift together: l s 4 cups sifted all purpose flour 1 cup sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder teaspoon each cloven, cinnamon and nutmeg Add: , i ’a cup shortening i ‘,2 can tomato soup. Beat until smooth I ’ Add: % can tomato soup 2 eggs. Beat Fold in: 1 cup chopped- candied fruit, raisins |or mincemeat and 1 cup chopped i walnuts. Pour into tube pan. Bake 1 ! x 4 hours at 350 degrees. Cool, remove from pan and ice with: 1 three ounce package of cream | cheese, softened with 1 tablespoon | milk. Blend in 2 J 2 cups powdered sugar and x 2 teaspoon vanilla.
