Editor's Mail Bag HALLOWEEN IS COMING Dear Editor: Halloween is coming up and I wonder if other people dread it as we do. It has almost become a night* I mare and the cost is terrific no matter how simple the treat. If the treat doesn’t suit the kids they tell you so and throw it down in the yard. One year we had. 200 callers and while some would be* getting their treat the rest would be sneaking around marking windows with swap, parafin and candles and even &ie i house got it. then they came tpek for their treat. Last year I was in the hospital with a broken back and the Air. was with a relative who was ill and what the kids did to this house was a fright. ’ I hope our generous town, board changes it’s n/lnd about allowing a few days for T or T. It took weeks to get the r windows, etc. off but it only took minutes 'to ' put them on. ' Cars stop and it’s nothing to see eight to 10 kids pile out and start ! hitting houses for treats or —. Should they come from other towns : as is claimed. I hope parents keep their own i youngsters in their own town and same. What we i don’t need is more T or Ts on Halli oween Respectfully — Airs.
