Misunderstanding Between Town And County Holds Up Milford Street Repair
An apparent misunderstanding between the Milford town board and the Kosciusko county commissioners has held up the repair of the street at the north edge of Milford since last March. This was learned early this week . when the Milford board said it was awaiting action by the county highway department to fix part of the road that runs from road 15 on the west to the Phehd and Brdwn office on the east. A Mail-Journal reporter, appearing before the county commissioner- on Tuesday, learned the c<t>m- *- missioners' minutes of the March meeting, when five Milford townsmen. including three town board members, appeared before the commissioners requesting the stijeet lie repaired, stated the county would repair a half block, from me oid interrurban tracks to the Big .. WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP On Thursday the Women’s Fellowship spent all day making chil-' dren’s garments and comforters. A basket dinner was served at the noon hour. During the afternoon Mrs. Russel Baker presided over the business. During. the devotional thinking Mrs. Howard Kreider read from the gospel of John 12:2-15 and offered prayer. Syracuse Firemen Called To Restaurant Twice Svracuse fire department answered a call to the Three Sisters resturant in Syracuse at 10:20 a. m. Monday, Oct. 5. to what was believed to be an electrical fire. The department answered a second call at 11:12 a.m. where they found the odor of smoke to be wiring from a heater turning on and off due to the drop in temperature in , the area. 1
