Jnr.o Beach Garden dub and' the Attais’ Guild Os the Norton Ait Galleries of the Palm Beaches. She was married to Alva V. Stout on Thanksgiving Day. Nov. 30, 1916. Mrs. Stout was an active member in the Hoosier Salon. She won the IXl'a. Sigma Kappa prize at the Marshall Fields Chicago exhibit of oil paintings in 1941 with her painting “Church Street Charleston”. Survivors- include her husixind. V Stout; a son, Daniel W. Mrs. Nora A. Robison Mrs. Nora A. Robison, 74, of r 3 Syracuse. died at 2:25 a. HL Wed-1 nesday in the Goshen hospital. She I suffered a stroke. Mrs. Robison had been in failing health for some time. | Mrs. Robison was born Oct. 18, ’ 1889, in Walls county. Kans., daugh- ■ ter of John M. and Sanaa (McGurity) LeCount. On Sept 7, 1907. she married Eddie Robison. She had liv- t ed most of her married life in the North Webster and Syracuse communities. John H. Lewis John H. Lewis, 74, of Fort Wayne brother of Mrs. Harley Lindemuth of Syracuse, died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Veterans hospital. Fort Wayne. He had been ill for the past two years. Mr. Lewis was bom Jan. 26. 1890, m Fort Wayne, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis. He married the former Ruth Reed in 1919 at Fort Wayne and she survives. Mr. Lew is was a veteran of World War 1 Surviving in addition to his wife and Syracuse sister are four other sisters and one brother. Final rites will be held Friday at 130 p.m. in tlx* Mungovan and Sons funeral home, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove cemetery.

Mentone Coach Heads County Organization Roger Bridge, head coach at Mentone, was recently elected to head the county coaches during the new school year. Marion (Bud l Leritz of North Webster was chosen vice president of the organization. Approval was given to the county baseball schedule and several changes were made since Sidney has become a part of South Whitley. The 10-game baseball season will run thrbugh the month of September. The coaches also selected October 2 as the date for the cross country meet. It will be held at the fair grounds in Warsaw. Syracuse Firemen Answer Call To Car Fire The Syracuse fire department was called to the 700 block of South Huntington street, Syracuse, Tuesday evening, September 8, to extinguish a car fire. The car belonging to Philip Rader, 306 south Lake street, was damaged only slightly. The fire resulted from the emergency brake not releasing.
