Clubs to be invited are Elk of Fort Wayne, Columbia City, Rochester, Plymouth. Goshen, Kendallville and Auburn. Enchanted Hills Playhouse Director Receives Doctorate
John Baldwin, a director and coowner of the Enchanted Hills Playhouse, east side Lake Wawasee. was awarded the degree of doctor of philosophy at Michigan Sta'e university. East Lansing, Mich., this week. Baldwin majored in speech and drama there and specialized in the field of theatre business management. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree from Albion college, Albion. Mich., and a master of arts degree from the university of California at Los Angeles. Baldwin has co-managed and directed at the Playhouse, rear Syracuse, since its opening in 196!. Prior to that, he resided in North Manchester, and was director of theatre at Manchester college. Baldwin is currently directing and acting in the closing production of the Enchanted Hills season. “Sunday Ln New York”, which runs from September 2-5. Following this, he will return to Michigan State university in the new position of business manager for the university theatre there. Club Horse Show Sept. 13 North Manchester Saddle
Everyone is invited to attend the North Manchester Saddle Club Horse Show at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Schutt Brothers Leather Goods store 'Saddle Club). There will be 15 prizes in all for the class races. There will be five ribbons in each class as well as a first place trophy winner in each. Come one, come all.
