Mrs. Rarick, therefore, has shared, and been an inspirational close companion, over practically all of the ministerial years; and her important part was also pointed out in the featuring of the day. Mrs. Rarick told about the evangelistic field, in which more than ■ 200 campaigns have been conduct- ! ed. Many of them in the early j days were of three weeks’ dura- ( tion, and in many of them the j whole family participated. There I have been 11 pastorates - taking j them to various places from PennI sylvania to California. far-flung field of western Canada. For four years they were superintendent and matron of the Mexico Welfare Home, near Peru, Ind. The Raricks have three daughters, Evelyn, Elvera, and Kathleen. Evelyn, now serving as organist in the Prince of Peace church, says "When the Lord called my father to the Christian ministry, now 50 years ago, I think he must have liked what he saw. For he blessed the young man. sending him out to aid him with his life of dedicated service in an engaging personality, an eloquent tongue, and a rich singing voice ...” And from Elvera. who is organist in the First Brethren church at Elkhart, there is this statement of appreciation. “Thank God for my dedicated Christian parents! Plus the wonderful Christian heritage they have passed on to us!” Kahtleen, now in California, where she has connection with the public schools of San Diego, has written, “What a tremendously thrilling occasion this is for you. father - the commemoratidn of fifty years in the ministry . i. . although others may have bigger bank accounts and newer cars at the end of fifty years, certainly few are more wealthier than you in terms of personal satisfaction which is yours now in a high calling well done”. ■ ■ i ONION NECKLACE Wearing an onion around the neck used to be fashionable —at least for cold sufferers. It's easy to . t c see why this old-time cold remedy has now been discarded. We can’t cure cokis, yet, but we can relieve their disccxiiforts ... and avoid more serious complications by using the available today. But don’t use any medicine indiscriminately. When you’re ill, be sensible. Let your physician do the diagnosing and prescribing. Then, if he recommends medication, see us for quality prescriptions. Thornburg Drug Co.
