Meeting The August meeting of the Women’s MissionarySogiety of the First Brethren church in Milford was held at the home of Mrs. Byron Ulrich with Mrs. James Stuckman in charge of the business meeting. Committees were named for the following year as follows: .. Visitation, Mrs. Venn Wysong; Bible reading, Mrs. Gail Geiger; program committee, Mrs. Willard Templin, Mrs. Harry Phend, and Mrs. Hubert Cain; flower committee, Mrs. Herman Miller. A sum of? 33.75 was collected | from an apron project, as an addition to the treasury, i Mrs. Willard Templin presented the lesson and program for the evening with the call !to worship and group singing of the hymn, Sweet Hour of Prayer.” Her devotions were taken frpm Matthew 6:1-15, followed by prayer by Rev. Frank L. Barker. The Bible study I “Living the Life of Prayer” was given 'by ■ Mrs. Ronald Brown, stressing four vital prayer conditions. Installation of officers for the coming year was conducted by ’ Mrs. Templin and each was given | a lovely wrist corsage. TWO WARSAW RESIDENTS HAVE LICENSE SUSPENDED Two Warsaw residents . have had their driver’s license suspended according to the latest report from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Indianapolis. 4 They are: Richard Ludwig, from 7*-17-63 to 7-17-64, for driving while suspended. Kenneth Allen Murphy, from 7-9-63, for matters appearing on . the record-points.
OBITUARIES
Mrs. Dan C. Flannagan Mrs. Dan C. (Mabelle) Flanagan, 58, of 407 Fairfield Manor, Fort Wayne, died at her residence Sunday. She had been ill since June. A native of Ligonier, she had spent most of her life in Fort Wayne. Mr. Flanagan, a prominent Fort Wayne lawyer, died in February 1960. They retained a summer cottage on Kale Island, Lake Wawasee, for many years and were well known around the Syracuse community. Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at the Mungovan and Sons mortuary and at St. Patrick’s Catholic church. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Floyld R. Knepp Floyd R. Knepp, 58, who lived on Crystal lake road west of Warsaw, died Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at the Murphy Medical center. He was admitted to the hospital Friday evening. Mr. Knepp was bom June 19, 1905, at Bremen and was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko county. He married Esther Stump in 1938. The deceased was a farmer and a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are several nieces and nephews. Services were held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Titus funeral home with Rev. Jqhn Jones officiating. Burial was in North Webster cemetery.' . Arthur C. Schrader Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the FlannerBuchanan Mortuary in Indianapolis for Arthur C. Schrader of Lake Wawasee. , Mr. Schrader, 74, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the Elkhart general hospital. The deceased was bom in Indianapolis on May 13, 1889 to Christian Anthony and Emma (Zobbe) Schrader. On February 16, 1918, he married Marie Horst, who survives. The Schraders have been coming to the Wawasee Lake area for many years and have been residents here for the past six years. Mr. Schrader was president of the C. A. Schrader Wholesale Groceries in Indianapolis. He and his father were pioneers in the Wholesale grocery business in Indianapolis. He is a member of the Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist in Indianapolis and a veteran of
WWI. Surviving besides the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Joan) Mauzy of Syracuse and Mrs. Willim (Christiane) Hall of Indianapolis; one son, Arthur, Jr., of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. V. M. (Ruth) Ray of Indianapolis. Friends may call at the Harris funeral home in Syracuse after 7 this evening (Thursday) until Friday morning. The body will be at the Flanner-Buchanan funeral home in Indianapolis from noon Friday until the time of the services Saturday. Cremation will follow the services. MERRY JAYNES MEET WITH MRS. LEHMAN WEMPLE The Merry Jayne club of Milford met Friday night at the home of Mrs. Lehman Wemple. There were 16 members present. Plans were discussed for the club’s 50th anniversary in September. The next meeting ‘ will be held with Mrs. Pauline Barclay. ENJOY RIDE IN AMPHICAR Mrs. Pearl Locke, Dwight and Henry Doty, Mrs. Fred Slabaugh and sons, all of Waubee lake, and Mrs- Carlos Ewing and Jim of St. David, 111., enoyed their first ride in an amphicar Tuesday afternoon on Waubee lake. The amphicar is owned by John Weldy of New Paris. A picture of the car may be seen elsewhere in this issue of The Mail-Jqumal.
