Mon Law at Ckawkhiidsvm.i.k.— Some weeks ago a meeting of citizens of Crawfordsville was held, at which it was resolved to give notice to the retail liquor dealers that they must close up their business by the first of January or abide tho consequences. The first of January came, hut only one individual obeyed the orders of the meeting. At midnight on Monday, therefore, the mob commenced the work of destruction.— The liquor shops of McCullough, Hurtling, Kennedy, Kndicutt, Mrs. Orman. Brown, (Reason, and Unstable, were severally visited, the premises broken open by violence, and their property destroyed. A meeting of the citizens was subsequent ly held, at which resolutions were passed endorsing the action of the mob.
