Van Horn, above Van Horn's grocery, and not finding Scott there, he immediately descended the stairs and crossed to the drug store, where lie stood on the side walk until he saw Scott conic to the bar room door of Deam's Hotel, when lie immcdiatly started towards him ; he went into the bar-room, and Scott, still desirous of shunning his father, entered

The bullet entered his right side, in the region of the short ribs, passed through the liver and lodged against the skin near the hack bone.
