Mr. and J4.rs.Thoe. Hanlon were at the National House this morning on their way to St Mary's where their daughter, Miss Carrie, is attending school. Mrs. Hanlon will remain until after commencement.

15.—Preparations
have been made here for the putting into effeot of the Sunday law, as provided by the legislature last winter. Under bia law all saloons, beer gardens, billiard roomB, shooting and bowling galleries, theatres and base ball parks must close. The police commissioners have instructed the Chief of Police to rigorously enforce the law. The interest has heid two or three meetings snd decided to close all the saloons in the oity next Sunday, the day the law goes into effeot, except Schraeder's Garden, whioh will be kept open, in order to test the constitutionality of tbe law.
The Columbus Races.-
