S'f. 7 Mun'i. (hL, January, 1888. For twelve or fourteen years I hare been a great suilerer from a terrible form o1 blood poison which ram into the eecondary and finally it was pronounced a tertiary form. Kyhead, face and shoulders beonroe almost a mass of corruption,

ekullbonw. I became so horribly re
pulsive that for three years I absolutely refused to let people see me. I used large quantities of most noted blond remedies and applied to nearly all physicians near me, but ay condition continued to grow worse, and all said that I most sorely die. My bones become the seat of excruciating aches and pains, my nights were passed in misery I was reduced in flesh and strengths my kidneys were teiribjly dtggqpd, «jd life h^g|.,a burden to me. .-V
I chanced to see an advertisement of B. B. B. and sent one dollar to W. C. Birchmor* Co., merchants of our place, and they procured one bottle for me. It was with doclded benefl and when eight or ten bottles had. used I was pronounced sound and woil.
Hundreds of scars can now be seen on me, looking like a man who bad been burned and then restored. My case was well known in this county, and for the benefit of others who may be similarly affected, I think it my «uty to give the facts to the public, and to extend my heartfelt thanks lor so valuable a remedy. I have been well over twelve moTth«, and no return of the disease has occurred.

Hop Bitters is not, in any sense, an alcohoHc .beverage or liquor, and oould not be sold, for use, except to persons desirous of obtaining medicinal bitters.
GEEUN B. RAUM,
Jr tJ. S. Oom'r Internal Rev.
WASHINGTON, D. O., Sept. 24,1884. Dear Sir—Why don'tyou get a eerti ficate from CoL W. fl. W., of Baltimore, showing how he cured himself of drunkenness by the help of Hop Bitters. His is a wonderful ease. He is well known in Rochester, N. Y., by all the drinking people there. He is known in this oity Cincinnati, New Orleans, New York in fact all over the country, as he has spent thousands of dollars for rum. I honeetly believe his dard would be worth thousands of dollars to you in this city and Baltimore alone, and make thou sands of sober men by inducing the use of your bitters.

Prejudice Kills,
"Eleven years our daughter suffered on a bed of misery under the oare of several of the best physioians, who gave her disease various names but no relief, and now she is restored to us in good health by Hop Bitters, that we had poohed at two years before using it. We earnestly hope and pray that no ope else will let their flick suffer as we did, on account of prejudice against so good a medicine as Hop Bitters."—The Parents—Good Templars.
MIIITON, Del., Feb. 10,1886.
Having used Hop Bitters, the noted remedy for debility, nervousness, indigestion, etc., I have no hesitation in saying that it is indeed an excellent medicine and reoommend it to any one as a truly tonio bitters. Repectfnlly, l- Rev. Mra J. H. ELLGOOD.
Scipio, N. Y., Deo. 1,1884,
I am the pastor of the Baptist church here and an educated physician. I am not in practice, but am my sole doctor, and adviso in chronic cases. Over a year ago I recommended your Hop Bitters to my invalid wife, who has been under medioal treatment of Albany's beet physicians several years. She has been greatly benefitted and still uses the medioine. I believe she will become thouroughly oured of her various complicated diseases by their use. We both recoommend them to our friends, many of whem have also been cured of their various ailments by them.

Enthusiastically Received by the St, Louis Merchants Exchange.
ST- LOUIS, March 31.—The Hon. James G. Blaine spent this" morning surrounded by personal friends and at half after 12 was escorted to the Merchants Exchange by a committee of the board. For an hour he received in the directors room, shaking hands with several hundred ,men. He was escorted to the floor of the Exohange at one o'clock and was introduced to the audience of nearly 2,000 people who crowded the immense room by Mr.. Frank Gaiene, president of the Exchange. 1 Mr. Blaine's Visit. The demonstration to Mr. Blaine in this city yesterday on the oocasion of bis passage through here on his way west was undoubtedly an enthusiastic one and the distinguished gentleman must have been pleased with the warmth shown by those who waited kt the depot for several hours to get a glimpse of him. He is certainly a striking, handsome figure and the few short, crisp sentences that he uttered to thank the crowd were gracefully delivered. Among those who greeted Mr. Blaine were W. R. McKeen and Ex-Mayor Armstrong.

A Lady's Perfect Gompaniorfc Painless Childbirth, & new book by Dr. John H. Dye, one of New York's most skillful physioians, shows that pain is not necessary in Childbirth, but results from causes easily understood and overcome. An Undoubted Blessing
About thirty years ago a prominent physician by the name of Dr. William Hall discovered, or produced after long experimental researoh, a remedy for diseases of the throat, chest and lungs, which was of such wonderful efficacy that it soon gained a wide imputation in this oountry. The name of the medioine is Dr. Wm. Hall's Balsam for the lungs, and may be safely relied on as a spet&y and positive cure for coughs, colds, sor oat, ctc.
Gen. M. D. Manson has returned from Florids, accompanied by his wife and daughter. He says they are building a hotel at St. Augustine that will cover as rnuoh ground as the capitol at Washington when completed. Ancient and modern architecture are being blended in its construction, whioh will give it a very unique appearance. It is to be called Ponce, de Leon hotel, after the early explorer of that state. The stomaoh and liver of the woman who died in June were found to to contain large quantities of arsenic. Her husband, who about two months ago married a woman of bad reputation in Chicago, is strongly suspected of having poisoned bis first wife, and. on four occasions since of having deliberately attempted to murder his father and mother1 and two children in the same manner. He went to New Orleans bome days since, and was arrested there yesterday. There is hardly a doubt of his guilt. n'
