^STATEMENT
0FFACTS FOR THE PUBLld TO CON SIDER.
ATLANTA, GA., January 12,1885.
Emerging from a severe and long spell of tjr phoid fever, I discovered that the feyer had set tied In my right leg, which caused It to swell to an enormous size, remaining so quite three years, resisting all treatment. A small ulcer finally made its appearance a little above the ankle which refused to heal to any and all external application and the use of tbe most noted b|ood poison remedies.
The ulcer continued to enlarge, frequently dis charging, perhaps, as muoh as a cupful of pus or mattter per day. Tbe size of the ulcer was abon two inches in diameter, extending to a dept* near the bone. At one time it appeared that the flesh in all contiguous parts would surely become a running sore, as its peculiarly flabby, spotted nd unhealthy condition clearly indicaUd.and was intimated that I might lose my log. My co dition becoming so critical, and the ulcer enlurg ng so rapidly, we sent for Dr. J. f. Dromgoole, who made a thorough examination, and said tha the flesh on my leg for six inches around the sort ,-Would soon slough off if not remedied: that must have my leg bandaged dally and commence the use of B. B. acted according to his instructions, and after ^fusing the second bottle, the ulcer looked fres and healthy and commenced healing. 1 continue the use of B. B. SHOOTING AT A PREMIER.
A Compositor Attempts the Life of the Prime Minister of King Christian. COPENHAGEN, Oct. 22.—A desperate attempt wqs made at 5 o'clock this afternoon to assassinate Premier,Estrupp by a youth named Basmussen, a compositor. Rasmussen fired two shots from a revolver at the Premier. When in the act of firing a third shot he was seized by a couple of defectives, a number of whom have constantly been in attendance on the Premier for some time past, owing to the extreme hatred towards him, and the other members of the Cabinet. Rasmussen was hurriedly taken to prison. The first shot struck a button on Herr Estrupp's coat, and glanced off. The second shot went wide of the mark.
THE CAUSES OF DISCONTENT.' Cable Special: The trouble between the government and the people is of thirteen years standing, during which the lower House, the Folkething, has vainly persisted in its demand for the removal of the unpopular Estrup Cabinet. Its endeavors to coerce the government by refusing to vote supplies, were boldly met. The King authorized the levy of taxes by royal decree and dissolved the Rigsdag with a reprimand. Tbis has since been done repeatedly, but each time a larger Radical majority has been returned the lower House. In the popular breach of the Rigsdag, which met this montn at (Jopennagen, there are scarce half a dozen supporters of the government. The uoner House has remained loyal to the King. Out of the methods of the government in the struggle has grown an opposition demand for a change to a paliamentary system, which is resisted by the crown by every means in its power. This is now the issue. During the last year the situation hre been growing daily more grave, and It has become clear that the government must either yield or face a revolution not only in the capital but throughout the country. Everywhere the opposition Left is in great majority. The wealthy, the aristocracy and tbe bureaucracy of the country side with the government. Many citizens have of late refused to pay the provinincial taxes levied by the government as illegal, and have resisted the authorities in the attempt to levy them by force. A general movement by the opposition toward arming the people was checked by a decree denying to citizens the constitutional right to bear arms, and sale of rifles was forbidden excepting to persons having license from the police. Meanwhile the loyal Right bought Krupp guns for the government. Matters- culminated a few weeks ago in the arrest of Mr. Beig, the Opposition leader and the president of the Folkething, for pushing the chief of police at Holestebro, a town in Jutland, from a platform, where Berg was addressing his constituents. The court sentenced him to* six months' imprisonment for assault. At this the rage of the people knew no bounds. There is every reason to fear a fatal outbreak unless the government yields.

A Colored Boy's Cool Crime,
JS
MARION, Ala., Oct. 22.—The t6Wn is excited over a cold blooded murder committed here by a 14 year old negro boy. Henry Huntley is the boy's name and his victim was his sister, 20 years old. A few days ago she chastised him for some misconduct, and he vowed he would kill her. Yesterday morning he got a shot gun and took a stand where she would have to pass, and when she came in sight, he shot 'her in the abdomen killing her almost instantly. He then put the gun down, stepped up, looked at her and finding her dead walked leisurely away. There were several witnesses, but they were so stunned by the sight that they did not offer to detain him. He was pursued, however, and caught and brought back and was placed in jail.
A Hero's Act.
CENTERVHJLE, Miss., Oct. 22.—Three miles from this place yesterday Robert Johnson, colored, noticed a little girl playing on the railroad track. At the same moment he heard the rumbling of an approaching train, and turning around, saw the engine turning a curve, only a few yards away. Johnson made a rush for the chi*d and just as he gathered her up in his arms, the engine struck them, mangling both fearfully. Death was instantaneous.

This weeks Sullivan Democrat says that a girl who got off the cars at Carlisle on Wednesday, wrongly thinking that was her destination, was brutally outraged by a gang of roughs who are in the habit of hanging around the depot. They took her to coal shaft shed and shamefully misused her. There is quite a stir over the matter and the gang have disappeared.

Commenting 6n President Cleveland's prompt removal af Judge Vincent for his appointment of the malodorous Stephen W. Dorsey as a jury commissioner for New Mexico, the Sonth Bend Times, owned and edited by John B. Stoll, who ought to be and probably will be appointed public printer, very pertinently says: "Whatever else a&y be said of President Cleveland, all candid men are compelled to admit that he is thoroughly and conscientiously committed to a faithful and honest public service. No acts of a questionable nature will be tolerated by him. All manner of jobs will find in him an inveterate and uncompromising foe. His subordinates, if they do not already know this, will in course of time become convinced of the'fact. He who is wise will govern himself accordingly. Those who imagine that chicanery and jobbery will be tolerated might as well put their house in order. Grover Cleveland will no more tolerate jobbery iu the federa service than he tolerated such practices while Mayor of Buffalo or Governor of New York."
THE President had another experience with the babies yesterday, and from the way in which the affair passed off, it looks as though he had at last decided to kiss no babies at all, unless they are females and over sixteen years of age. This particular infant had been named "Grover Cleveland," and the mother thought that entitled it to an executiue kiss Cleveland tried to get out of it by shaking hands with the mother, but she remarked, "Mr. President, please notice the baby. He was named after you today." "Nice little fellow," replied Cleveland, chucking the infant under the chin "nice little fellow pass on." The infant was snubbed. It is very sad.

Father, Mother, and Three 8istsrs Dead. Mr. David Claypool, formerly Sergeant-at-Arms of the New Jersey Senate, and now Notary Public at Cedarville, Cumberland Co., N. J., makes the following startling statement: "My father, mother, and thre* Bisters all died with consumption, and my lungs were so weak I raised blood. Nobody thougty I could live. My work (shipsmithing)was very straining on me with my weak constitution, and I was rapidly going to the grave. While in this condition I commenced using Mishler's Herb Bitters, and it saved my life. Because it was so difficult to get it in this little place, and I had improved so much, I stopped taking it for a time, and the result is that I have commenced going rapidly down hill again. Somehow, Mishler's Herb Bitters gives appetite and strengthens and builds me up as nothing else does, and I must have a dozen bottles at once. Use this communication as yon please, and if any one wants to be convinced! of its truth, let them write me and I will make affidavit to it, for I owe my life to Mishler's Herb Bitters."
The secret of the almost invariable relief and cure of consumption, dysentery, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, indigestion, kidney and liver complaints, when Mishler's Herb Bitters is used, is that it contains simple, harmless, and*yet powerful ingredients, that act on the blood, kidneys, and liver, and through them strengthens and invigorates the whole system. Purely vegetable in its composition prepared by a regular physician a standard medicinal preparation endorsed by physicians and druggists. These are four strong points in favor of Mishler's Herb Bitters. Mishler's Herb Bitters is sold by all druggists. Price $1.00 per large bottle. 6 bottles for $5.00.
