Booad Over to the Circait Conr.. From Monday's Dally. This afternoon in the case against Geiaert and Seiffert for blackmail, tbe defendants waived the preliminary hearing and were bound over to the Circuit Court in the sum of |80Q each, which they gave.

About noon to-day a lively fight took pl»oe at Eleventh and Poplar streets between Patrick McCabe, a contractor, and Henry Sholten, an ex-policeman. McCabe was pretty well used up. Both were taken to jail in the patrol wagon. At 2:10 o'clock Sholton was released on bond, bnt McCabe was still dnijjfr.

The engineer, Hamilton lieForge and five other persons were in the boiler room at the time, bat as the explosion was down into the Are box no ope, fortunately, was injured. By reason of this accident the mill will be stopped ^br eight or ten days. Up to about a yeafe ago the mill had bnt a single boiler, bat at that time they put in two. There was a scarcity of wster in the boilers at the time of the explosion, which was the cause o£the accident.

Friday Waiter Thompeon, a fourteen year old boy, was at reeled at Greenup, Ills.,'for theft and Saturday taken to Evansvilte, where he caofessrd to steal, ing the mare and a gold-watch and other valuables belonging to Mayor Ufi.1 well. About nine miles this side of Marshall he traded the mare to a farmer tor another, andabuuttwo miles west ot Marshall traded this one for another, which he rode toGieehup, 111., and sold it to the constable for $35, receiving $10 cash and took a note for $15, which be sent in a letter to his brother. Sincere sold the mare he had been tramping about in the vicinity of Greenup, telling fortunes for his board and lodging till arrested. While in that neighborhood he gave bis name as Walter Hilton.

The meek-eyed fraud representing himself as one of the well known firm of Goodwin Bros., Rhode Island, who negotiated with Mr. Jeffers so lease the Mills for a term of five years, has never been heard from sinoe his sudden dis appearance, and Mr. J. considers him a dead beat 18 karet fine.

The I. O. O. F. lodge room at Middle town is te be newly carpeted. It is to be done at the joint expense of the regular lodge and of the Bebekah degree which both use tbe ball.
