A Disastrous Trip
Last Monday a party made up of Jos. Wildy, the Tryon boys, Thos. Johnson, Joe Bowles, Lytnau Miller and Dick Wyeth drove down to tbe Eel river bottoms, near Worthington to hunt and fish. Thursday night their horses became frightened and rau off. Three oi the psrty were detailed in pursuit. They walked forty-five miles to Dick Wyeth's house below Prairieton and when they got there found the horses had net comeThey roamed about for some lime and then, turning around started back to Ha'-tlord, where they hired a team and went down for the rest of the party. After a regular "monkey and a parrot of a time" they found their own team at Centerville, but in the mean time the pro, visions in the camp gave out and the hungry horde scattered. Lyman Miller, who can't be held in camp with log ehains after the "grubs" gone, struck out and walked to the nearest railway station and arrived horns Friday night. The rest have been struggling in ever since but as no roll has been called, it is not known whether lliey have all got back yet or not.
