Ohio—Ten per cent, oi the acreage is abandoned or plowed up for other crops, and the remainder averages only 62 per cent. This is a decided reduction from the condition reported May 1. chess and' fly are reported in several counties. ^,

CORN

Indiana—The area of corn crop is put ut 102 per cent, and it will probably be increased during this month. The condition of the plant is 78 per cent. A cold May is reported for all sections and the latter part of the month was wet. Bad seed delayed the growth of the plant in many counties, and has occasioned a great deal of replanting. The ground was in good condition for" planting.
