DUBLIH, May 2.—Patrick Delaney Ind Thomas Coffrey, two more ot tbe men charged with participation in the murder of Cavendish and Burke, were ar raigued for trial this morning. They created a sensation the court room by pleading gnilty to the charge against them. Both were sentenced to be hanged June 2nd.

Before Caifrey had pleaded guilty he was informed by his solicitor that the Crown gave no hopes of mitigation of the sentence of death which would be passed upon him. When Delany was called upon to plead he said "I am guilty of being in tbe park at the time Lord Frederick Cavendish and Burke were killed, but I did not commit the murder. I plead guilty."

The Judge explained to him that this really amounted to a plea of innocence. Delaney then formally pleaded guilty. He saia: "I was brought into this at first foolishly, not knowing what it was. I was forced from my work to go to the park. We had to obey the orders of the society or take the conseaaences. When I got in the park I could not get away. I saw the murdnHi committed, bat took no part in them.

I went to the park on Kavanaugh* car. He speaks the truth Eodoes Carey. The moiucca !Vrtrf committed by Joe Brady and -Timtrtfcy Keller and by noelse. I saved Judge Lawson's life risk of my own. Twas put on tb

Judge O'Brteo In passing the sentence on Delaney said he had a daty toperform.

When Cafferey was placed in the dock his lace wore a smile. The consequence ot pleading guilty was again fully explained tohuu in open court, bat he persisted in his plea. On being asked whether he had anything to say why sentence should not be passed upon him, Caffety replied in a loud voice "All I have got to say, standing on the brink of the grave, is that I did not know what was going to happen until twenty minutes before the murder was committed. I

was

bound to go to the pa^k under pain of death. The Judge, in passing the sentence, said there was no means of judging the truth of the prisoners statement He did not decide that it was necessarily wholly untrue.
