They will take no stock in an article unless it is metitoioas When Dr. Swayne launched his Ointment for the Piles, that itch so intensely at night, on a sea of human sufferiug, the physicians laughed, but the people tried it all the same and manifested their approbation in a National endorsement. B. F. Rogers, of Lost Creek townsbip, raised 90'acres of wheat this year on the Tenant land which yielded nearljy 16 bushels-per acre on an'average making 1.255^ in all Mr R. had a piece of land a littll* over two acres that made teventv bushels. He has 40 or 50 acres yet to thresh.

S. T. Strole, of Payette township, raisetft 50 acres oT tfheat tbis year. It has been* threshed and yielded abou 834 bushels or an average of a liiltle over 17 bushels to the acre. The machine measure in the care of Hr. Strole,. and presumably it! care oi many others, run than the amount when it comes to De weighed, which is due to the fact that the grain is unusually plump andi heavy. Over half was sola to Clinton parties at $1.07, which is something- better than tbe preseut price.

Franklin, Ind, Airgast 2.—A careful investigation ot the wheat yield in this county by parties direcrty interested in it justifies tbe conclusion that, average considered, Johnson couaty is entitled to wear the belt this year asthe best wheat producing county in the state. Taking the average, less 15 percent., as returned by the assessors of the several townships, the parlies referred to visited a number ol machines aud base their calculations upon tbe amount already threshed. The averages range from eighteen to thirtyfive bushels per acre, aud show a total •wheat yield in the county* of 1,250,000. Tne deduction of 15 per cent from the assessor's returns of acres s»wn was simply a precautionary measare to guard against over estimating the crop. The above 1,250,000 is based ou an average of twenty-two bushels per acre..
