He ordered the military bake houses to make 10,000 loavet daily for the British without providing for his own troops, ana sent telegrams in their name. The Minister of the Interior presided at the meeting. Mahmoud Pasha Haroudi practically directed the discussions. Sheik Hassan recommended the declaration of a holy war,but at the instance of the Coptic Patriarch moderation prevailed. The meeting appointed.a committee to go to Alex-1 andria in order to verify the accusations against the Khedive. It was arranged that a commission of seven should start on the 18th inst, going trom Cairo to Isinailia. Three Mudiers, missed from their posts, are imprisoned in Cairo for obeying the Khedive.
