The jury in the case of Henry Ehrenhardt, tor assault ana battery, after being out over five hours came in yesterday afternoon, assessing his fine at

The case of the State vs. Wm. Keagan, for assault with intent to commit rape on Rhoda Kinser, is on trial to-day before a jury. The assault took place on the sight of December

ADJOURNMENT.

The court this morning after a seven weeks session, adjourned until the next term. During the present session there •were

cases disposed of by rendering

judgments and dismissals. There were 20 jury trials. The largest amount of business in way of litigations was disposed of during the Jerm. The new business was limited, as the old cases that have been standing on the docket lor years were disposed of first.

Judge Patterson will go to Sullivan tomorrow, where he will hold three weeks court.

Fred Lindsey, Bert McBride, Joseph Fulmer, Hollis Rhoder, Jtfmes Kunz and Frank Kintz were arraigned on a charge of riot. They all pleaded not guilty.

A new trial was denied in the case 6f Frank Lukes who was sentenced to the state prison for two years for assaulting policeman Roach. Lukes was arranged to-day and judgment pronounced.

A dozen or so indictments for retailing were nollied. From Tuesday's Dally.

Criminal Court.

Sanford P- Shepler was arraigned on a charge of selling unwholesome food. He entered a plea of not guilty and a jury was empanneled. A trial ensued and the jury returned a verdict of not guilty without retiring from the jury box. There is still another indictment against him on the same charge.
