Thomas Sunderland has worked in the rolling mill for the past five years *nd in that time has made fifty days more than seven days a week. This is a remarkable record, and we doubt if it can be matched by any. other man in town. He has been a watchman, but has recently quit that employment and taken'a position as helper at a puddling furnace in the same mill.

Capt. Friend, of the Cadets, says twenty points were taken off his company's credits on account of failure to comj ply with the rule of allowing the Orderly Sergeant to form the company. He says he did not understand the order. The Cadets receiyed 64 points, and if, according to Capt. Friend, 20 were deducted on account of these errors, the company might have had 84 points, which is within one of what were credited to the Light Infantry.
