AHlan Walki From Newark, J., to New York. Borne weeks since, a man came into the store, No. 1 Sixth avenue, New York, iuqulrfng for Mr. Crittenton, to whom he was shown. He appeared to be very much excited, and immediately commenced t« tell a story of how his wife had suffered from an affect .on of the lung?, find, in fact, had oeen given up by the physicians to die. Through some friend she was induccd, at a last resort, to try Hale's Honey of Horehound and Tar, and, using here her husband's language, he said: "Before she had used one bottle sne could breathe with more ease and by the time she had used six bottles sne was up and around the honse, able tD do her own work." The man took the pains to come In person and thank the present proprietor of this popular "article for a perfect cure or his wife. The Acme and Patience a Skill of Piano Manufacture

Atta ned By the Steinways.

The many persons who are so strongly prejudiced in favor of the Steinway piano that all other instruments have a metalic sound to them have been delighted to know that MR. L. KUSSNBR has consented to accept their agency at this point. Me has lately received a piano which Steinway calls the parlor gratia. Like Douglass it is "a little giant.' It combines all the principles of the large concert though it is nearly two fact shorter—an advantage of great value to persons whese houses and pockets arc not equal to the larger size. Like the rest this piano has a rosewood case, beveled top with continuous hinge, overstrung Patent Duplex scale, patent iron cupola and pier frame with patented handsome ornament, extra Capo d'Astro bar aad patent agraffe arrangement, patent tone-sustaining pedal, patent double repeating action with countetbalanced escapement, patent tubular metalic action frame: and three strings to each note. The outer frarre consists of eight thickness. In fact it contains every one of Stein way's patents. Under MR. KUSSXER'S skillfull touch the tone is perfection. To more minutely describe it would be tc simply pile up adjections of praise. MR. K. having been early apprenticed in ttpiano manufactory is perfectly at home with the Steinway make. He understands every part and can play on and tune an instrument for himself. This is a great advantage. In his hands the magnificent instrument which has larger sale in Europe than all other American makes put together will not suffer.

THE Knights of Father Mathew ex cuition to Paris, next Suadav, will be a grand affai*. The train will leave the I. & St. L. depot at 9 o'clock, and returning will leave the Paris depot at 7 o'clock.

Terre Haute, April nth, 18719. The organ of St. Stephen's clinchr from one cause or another, had become very much out of repair and tune. Ths'\ task of repairing and retuning was committed to Mr. Albert J. Kussner. He was compelled to take the instrument completely to pieces in order to examine and retune each separate pipe, of which thee are eleven different sets, and place then all in harmony with each other. AK this has been most successfully accomplished and we are pleased to have this opportunity of bearing testimony to the siutl and ability with which it was done by Mr. Kussner.
