tfu.O nm MEMPHIS, EVENING REI'ORT. Memphis, Oct. 8.—The board of healt reports 21 deaths from yellow fever during the pant twenty-four hours ending at 6 p. M. Twelve addilidfial deaths are reported by the undertakers, having occurred ir. the suburbs.

The fever has appeared at Raleigh, Tenn., from which,point an appeal for a •doctor was made, this afternoon.

The following was received, to-day, frqm Decatur, Ala.: Can you sand us a good physician ana three good nurses by the first train? Our medical director was taken down las^ night the others are worn out. About 40 sick, many of them with yellow fever.

Nurses were sent, this afterr.oon. to Courtland, Miss., in response to an appeal. ,,

Toledo, October 9. 1 A. M.—From Republican sourccs the indications are that Kahlo, National. 4or Congress, will have, in Lucas county, 400 over Hurd, and 700 over Lucky, Republican. Hufd over Lucky, 360. The Republicans claim the county auditor and clerk, and concede the remainder of the county ticket to the Nationals. There seems to be no doubt of Hurd's election to Congress by a majority of l.ooo or over.

The satne places in 1876 gave for governor, Democrat, 3,827 Republican, 4,78s Greenback, 116 Democratic gain, 108 National increase in vote. 453. These returns are chiefly from small townships in the country.

The returns on the congressional yote are too meagre to indicate a definite result. First district, 1 township, Republican gain, 14 Second district 8 townships out of 103 give Cobb, Democrat, 1,071 Willman, Republican, 854 Green, National, 24. The same places in i876gave the Democrats, 1,304 Republicans, 977 Creenback, 24. In the Third district 3 out of 95 townships gave Bicknell, Demecrat, 288 Willey, Republican, 51 Long, National, 146.
