Appended to this preposterous bill is the following statement from the trustee of Pierson township: '•-lam tru-tce of Pierson township. I have examined the bill of A.J. Purcell for caring for Louisa Hale. A far as 1 have »exi«mii cd arid know by personal kuow ledge „nnd hearsay, Purcell should be paid reasonably for lvi« services. I do not know how Ibng he is entitled to pay tor services or what* ie a fair price. I know that he bought medicines for her and that Dr. Pickens attended on her. I never paid as trustee anything for the said Louisa Hale.. Mr. Purcell paid everything him*el£. medicines, doctor's bill, funeral expenses and expenses of last sickness, and respectfully recommend that Mr. Pursell be paid a reasonable amount for his services and outlay.
