CONDITION OF THE BANKS THERE.

Chicago, July iS.—The St. Louis bank troubles have produced scarcely a perceptible impression ort the banking

There has been a small run bv light depositors ^'day on the State Savings bank, but there is nothing like a rush and the bank officers say they frequently pay out more in a forenoon in the ordinary cause of bu siness, than they have up to o'clock to-day. Its probable thai the run will cease entirely to-mor-that inaugurated yesterday, as fidelity has to-day.

THE BLACK, HILLS.

A PARTY MURDERED BY INDIANS—

RICH PLACER MINE.

Cheyenne, July iS.—The Black Hills Times publishes the following, this evening, in an extra: "We learn from Mr. John McKelvj, of St. Paul, that this afternoon as the Bismarck stage arrived at a point *two miles north of Bear Buttes, and ten miles from Crook City, they came upon the bodies of two men and one woman, lying in the road. The men were shot and scalped, and the woman shot and scalped and horribly mutilated. The murdered party were traveling by a team. The contents of the wagon were scattered promiscuously around. The Indians, about twelve in number, after murdering these travelers attacked a party of teamsters who were corraled a few miles back, but ran away at the first fire, Freighters coming in picked up the bodies of the two men and woman and brought them to Crook City."
