The day closed without any further important developments in regard to the New York bounty loan frauds, although some small alterations were brought to light.
The executive committee
Stringency in money increased this afternoon and many bank accounts were not made up until after 3 o'clock. Call loans sharp at 7 per cent gold, and later in th»day there were some transactions at 1-16 and per cent per diem.The bounty loan frauds have disturbed confidence among banks and money lenders to such an extent that many loans were called in to-day, and the money not again loaned out. Some parties were also calling in loans for to-morrow. This action is taken simply for protection, until the full extent of the frauds is discovered. Some banks report some demand for currency from the South and Southwest.

While there is no doubt he is anxious to have the FifteenthAmendment ratified, there is great pressure against calling an extra session by the citizens south of the Platte, who fear that members north of the Platte will take the opportunity to pass measures prejudicial to that section.
