the particulars of a case in which a white girl, the daughter of a weli-to-do farmer in utirri-1"!! county, becamo the mother of a mulatto child, and was driven from homo by 'her father, and left with the negro the father of her child. The girl recently returned to the neighborhood in which her father resides, and has brought suit against him for some ten years' labor performed by her for him after she became of age. The law is in the girl's favor, and she will doubtless gain the suit. It is stated that the father compelled the girl to labor in the field with the negro, and frequently left her and the negro together for days.

Walkerton, St. Joseph county, was fatally injured while engaged in breaking a colt. His son had tried to ride the polt several times, but unsuccessfully, and then Mr. Dair himself made the attempt. Shortly after mounliug it, the colt reared and fell back, crushing Mr. Dair witb its whole weight, upon a pile of rails, breaking his leg in two places, and injuring him internally. He became unconscious soon after the accident and died the next day.

It is alleged that tho Doctor poisoned his wife. DfB. Waterman and McNab made a chemicaj analysis of the woman's stomach and contents, and reported to the court the result of tu^r tests. Three and four-fifths grains of ars^c were discovered, amply sufficient to cause death: but by whom administered not yet settled. The trial excites great interest in Kokomo. It will not be concluded until the middle of this week.
