As before mentioned the attendance, although great, was not so immense as on Thursday, which, however objectionable in a pecuniary point of view, redounded greatly to the comfort of the visitors. On Thursday the immense crowd which thronged the balls militated rather against a satisfactory view of the objects exhibited. As tbe hapless sight-seer on the side was crushed against a table and as those in tbe center could only see right ahead of them,we must not suppose any oi\e got a very correct notion of the beautiful things on every side. To-day it has been different, the big trot during the afternoon has drawn the great

To-morrow. Saturday, the Fair closes, with tho payment of cash premiums, settlement of claims, sale of stock, and closing up the business of the fair. The receipts, we are of opinion, will aggregate about the same as last year. While the sales of tickets this year on the two first days were not so large, those of yesterday and to-day are greater.

bonnets of the iadie? and tho obnoxious stove-pipe hat# of the gentlemon.— And there they sat and waited, because if they had left their seats they would never more have seen anything of the arena, and those who were on the grounds wore debarred the scenes in the circle because they could not get into the amphitheatre. Standing on the promenado at the rear and top of the amphitheatre, the scene was one most grandly beautiful.— The grounds were filled with moving throngs. Countless groups were collected in every direction^ while in and out of the doorways of the various halls dense masses were moving, the hundreds who

The broad space appropriated to the larger agricultural machines was alive with people. Wherever one went to witness the interesting operations of machinery, he found a throng had gone before him, while others came after him. Long lines of horses attached to carriages, buggies, wagons circled around the trotting p&rk and were tied at every available spot.

This, however, has been of no particular consequence the past two days, as the sun has been veiled by clouds noarly the whole time.
