And the Montreal Herald remarks Dr. Spinney, founder and proprietor of of the Electric Medical Institute in this oity,. is an educated physician, and a man of quick and strong perceptive faculties, well calculated to treat all complicated diseases.

Not having room to publish a long list of testimonials the Dr. would say to those who are not satisfied after perusing the following, call at the office where he will show others, and give reference to many who have received great benefit from his treatment:

DR. SPIHNBY:— I feel it Impossible to express my gratitude to you for the wonderful cure you bave made. My foot and leg, which had lost a large share of the flesh, from the effects of Erysipelas (im properly treated at first by another physician,) is now quite well, and the bones and muscles, once plain to be seen, are now covered over nicely with flesh, in a healthy condition. Though for along time I lay in hopeless condition, given up by many as beyond the reach of medical aid, I have, by your kind attention for ten weeks, been saved, and I feel that you have been an Instrument in the hands of God to prolongmy life.. With feelings of the deepest gratitude.

I remain your humble servant, MRS. O. HAWKINS, St. John, May 4, 1863. Princess St.

7b the Editor of the Evening Telegraph DEAR SIB,—For five or six years I have been afflicted with dyspepsia in its most severe form. I have been treated for it by some of the most able physicians in Montreal. From time to time I placed myself under their treatment, ana after using an enormous quantity of medicine, felt only, growing* worse. My disease increased, appetite failed, was troubled with a sensation of pain, weight and fullness at the epigrastrium, costiveness became depressing, my spirits grew low, causing great dejection. 1 tried all kinds of advertised remedies to no purpose. My hopes of recover} began to fail, when at last 1 concluded to try Professor SPIHNST'S new method of cure. I am now a little over two months under the Professor's treatment, and am happy to say that I foci like anew man again, relieved of my distress, and enjoying life as in days gone by.

WILLIAM STEPHENS, No. 39 Seaton Street.

P. S.—Any person wishing confirmation of the above can have it by calling on me. W. S.

It is about four months sinoe I placed myself tinder jour treatment, and am happy to say that my cough is gone, my lungs feel strong, and my general health is restored. I can only say that I would heartily recommend all who suffer with like afflictions to place themselves under your treatment without delay. Read the following extracts from the Press. The St. Louis Dispatch says: Dr. Spinney, is one of the most accom* plished physicians in the country, treating lung complaints and chronic diseases with a success that is almost miraculous. Wherever he has practiced he has been remarkably fortunate, saving many thousands of sufferers from premature graves, and by his system of medical electricity, be has performed cures in an immeose variety of the most complicated diseases. "We have been acquainted with the Doctor for many years, and can vouch for his

professional skill and ability to perform all that he promises, and to his being a

humane and liberal minded gentleman.

The Salem Observer says: By gentlemanly deportment, urbanity of manners, and his successful method of treating disease, he has gained for himself a large circle of friends who will welcome his return at any future period. We heartily reeommend him to the afflicted wherever he may go.

The St'. Johns Morning News says: Few physicians who have ever visited our city, have so complete won the confididence and commendation of their pa tients as has Dr. Spinney. We daily hear him spoken of by his patrons in the most satisfactory tarms. His treatment of diseases is effectual, and the afflicted have in him a real friend.

HIM A CALL.

To the Ladles,

The Doctor would most especially call Having spent many years in the study and treatment of female complaints, he feels competent to treat them in their most malignant forms, he would therefore cordially invite all who may be racked with pain or suffering from any of the great host of troubles with which your sex are so often afflicted, to come and try his new method of cure, which haB relieved thousands of their sufferings, and saved many from a premature grave,

Medical Electricity,

For all ladies who are afflicted by any of the following complaints: Cold extremities, weak stomachs, lame and weak backs, nervous and sick headache, constipation and indigestion, pain in the side and back, leucorrhcea, iprofapsus uteri, with internal diseases of the organ, and all other attending complaintsof the genito-urinary organs, is a safe, mild and efficient remedy.

Dr. Spinney's Eolectic Renovating Remedy for all irregularity incident to young, or married ladies, whether from cold, sickness, inanition or misfortune, is a sure, safe, and mild medicine, aud is invaluable to those who prefer vigor and health to sickness and decline. It is pure ly vegetable, containing nothing in the least injurious to the health, and may be taken with safety at all times. Private consulting rooms, especially for ladies.— Pull particulars given by applying personally.

fonng Men

Who may be suffering from the effects of youthful follies or indiscretions will do well to avail themselves of this, the greatest boon ever laid at tne altar of suffering humanity. Dr. S. will guarantee to for feit one hundred dollars for every case of seminal weakness, or private disease of any kind or character which he undertakes and fails to cure. He would therefore say to the unfortunate sufferers who may read this notice, that you are treading upon dangerous ground when you longer delay in seeking the proper remedy for your complaint you may be in the first stage remember you are approaching the last if you are bordering upon tbe last, and suffering some or all its ill efi'ects, remember if you obstinately persist in procrastination, the -time must cOme when t#B most skillful physician can render you no assistance, whtfh the door of hope will be closed against you when no angel of mercy can bring you relief. In no case has the Doctor failed of success. Then let not despair work itself upon your imagination, but avail yourself of the beneficial results of bis treatment before your case is beyond the reach of medical skill, or before grim death hurries you to a premature grave.

Middle-Aged Men.

There are many men of tbe age of thirty to forty who are troubled with too frequent evacuations from the bladder, often accompanied by a slight smarting or burning sensation, and weakening the system in a manner the patient cannot account for. On examining the urinary deposits a ropy sediment will often be found, and sometimes small particles of albumen will appear, or the color will be of a thin milkish hue, again changing to a dark and turbid appearance. There are many men who die of this difficulty, ignorant of the cause.

Dr. S. will guarantee a perfect cure in all such cases.

Caatiou to the Public.

very intelligent and thinking person must know tbat remedies handed out for general use should have their efficacy established by well tested experience in the hands of a regularly educated physician, whose preparatory studies fit him for all the duties he must fulfill yet the country is flooded with poor nostrums and curealls, purporting to bo thereat in the world, which are not only useless, but always in» jurious. The unfortunate should be partica l&r in selecting his physician, as it is lamentable yet incontrovertible fact, that many patinta are made miserable with ruined constitutions by mal-treatment from inexperienced physicians in general practice. The experienced general practioner, having neither opportunity nor time, to make himself acquainted with their pathology, commonly pursues one system of treatment, in most case* making an indiscriminate use of that antiquated and dangerous weapon, Mercury.

All who have committed an excess of any kind, whether it be the solitary vies of youth, or the stinging rebuke of misplaced confidence in maturer years, seek for an antidote in season. The Pains and Aches, and Lassitude and Nervous prostration that may follow are tho Barometer to the whole system. Do not wait for the consummation that is sure to follow do not wait for unsightly TTloers, for Disabled Limbs, for Loss of Beauty and Complexion.

DOCTOR WKITTIJ*

publishes a Medical

Pamphlet relating to Venereal Diseases and the disastrous and varied oonsequences of self-abuse, that will be seat to any address in a sealed envelope for two stamps. It ooa tains full symptom lists that will eaable those affected to determine the nature of their complaint and give a written statement of their case that will answer almost as well for the purpose of treatment as a personal interview but wbsra it is couxenleat, the Doctor shou 'd bo consulted personally. Those hvvlug friends that may require advice, can supply them with this valuable work by sending their address, with stamp. Thus you oan assist the unfortunate without their knowing their benefactor. Certainly no suMect Is of more importance than pualty of blood and perfect manhood.

It is self-evident that a physician who conlines qlmself exclusively to tho study of acer tain class of diseases and treats thousands of oases every year, must acquire greater skill in that spseialty than on* in general practice— Many physicians, recognising this fact, Introiuoe patients to the Doctor after reading his Medical Pamphlet.
