the authors of this outrage have been corn- aura polled to yidd, and restore Ihe removed female teachers io their former situations.— This is a glorious triumph of Ihe freedom of speech over the secret oaths and proscriptive regulalions, contrived, imposed, and applied by political demagogues, who can tooonipltsh nothing openly and honest ly. Those horrid unchristian and illegal oaths and revolting regulations, which we recently gave in our piper, are condemned by every democrat who read them. They brought whiggery in Philadelphia, in this city, and some other places, into pow*r.—• But freedom of speech, truth, justice and an intelligent publio opinion, will soon end its ascendancy. The wave of populsr Indignation and justice will soon overwhelm these enemies of constitutional and legal rights, and render them powerless They vill be soon "sunk so low that the hand of resurrection cannot reach and save them." Such will ever be fate of traitors lo popular rights and principles. Let this be remembered.— Washington Union.
