The fourteen principal religions aad benevolent societies which have been holding their anniveroaries in New York, collected together during the year nearly a million ar.d a half of dollars, being an increase of about one hundred and thirty thousand dollars over the preceeding year. Of the mill* ion and a half, one buudred thousand waa the income of various local societies, so that all but one fifteenth waa raised and disbursed by national aaaociationa.
