Burnet's Patent Water Cooler. I iHIS article Is the result of the application of aeienllfia principles to the purpose intended, vis: To keep water as coo/ a* pattiblt, as long us possible, with the least pissiblt quantity of lee.
T|io proprietor ha* long devoted his attention to this pat* ticular branch of domeatle economy, and passing from one improvement Jo another, haa at length arrived as near perfection as it is possible to reach. A proof of this Is foundi in the very general use of these Coolers In all parts of the country. A better proof of the same fact Is, that, since their Introduction, various Imitations of the genuine article have been attempted—all falling short of the object, It iv true, jet all proving clearly which way the tide of popular^ opinion Is setting.
A simple statement of fttcts, In regard to these Coolers* will satialy every one of their superiority. First, they are the only article of the kind ever patented. They are furnished with twodiatinct non-conducting chambers, by meansolf which, with two pounds of Ioe to tne gallon, water is kept (at a temperature of 40 deg. below sero, or oniySdeg. above the freeslng point) all day. Thus, at a cost of somej live cents per day, a fitmlly of ordluary size can bo con-i stantly supplied with water as cold as Ice Itself larger numbers lit tits same proportion. This has been found by actual experiment to he a savlpg of at least seventy-five per cent* over tho Earthen Jars, formerly used for this purpose.
Affaln, tlieao Coolers never Sweat lu this way, saving^ much unnecessary waste and trouble. llelng manufactured In the rnost workmnnlltc'e style, and handsomely finished In every respect, they make a very beautiful ornament for tha Dining Room, Hotel or Staamt Boat.
An important improvement has lately been added to the Coobr, viz: A small Pan (capable of holding from six to eight pounds of butter) inserted directlv under tho cover.| This quantity of butter can he kept perfectly hard all day, without additional Ice—a very Important addition to the economy uud comfort of familiea. I
If desired, the Cooler can also be furnished st a small' expense with Filtering Amiaratu*, msde and for sale at BUKNET'.i House huriiUUIng Establishment, jf
