^Burnet's Patent Water Cooler.

ft^HIS article is the result of the application of scientific principles to the purpose intended, 9* cot quantity of tee.

|_ principles to the purpose intended, viz: To keep water coal at pogtible, at long at pontible, with the Uatl postible

The proprietor has long devoted his attention to this particular branch of domestic economy, and passing from ono Improvement to another,'has at length arrived as near perfection as it is possible to reach. A proof of this is found In the very general use of these Coolers in all parts of the country. A better proof of the same fact Is, that, since their introduction, various imitations of the genuine artloie have been attempted^-all failing short of the object, it is true, et til proving clearly which way the tide of popular opinion Is setting. .•

A simple Statement of facts', In regard to these Coolers, will satisfy every o»e of their superiority. First, they are the only article of the kind ever patented. They are fu rnished with two distinct non-conducting chambers, by means of which, with two ponbds of Ice to the gallon, water is kepi (at a temperaturo of 40 deg. below zero, or only 8 deg. above the freezing point) all day. Thus, at a cost of some five ceula per day, a fumily of ordinary size can be constantly supplied With wuter as cold as ice itself larger numbers in the same proportion. This has been found by actual experiment to be a saviug of at least seventy-five per cent, over tho Earthen Jurs, formerly used for this purpose.

Again, these Coolers never Sweat iu this way, saving much unnecessary wasto and trouble. Being manufactured in the most workmanlike style, and handsomely finished iu every respoct, they make a very beautiful ornament for the Df Boat.

Mning Room, Hotel or Steam

An important improvement has lately'been added to the Cooler, viz: A small Pan (capable of holding from six to eight pounds of butter) inserted dircctlv under tho cover. This quautity of butter can be kept perfectly hard all day, without additional Ice—a very important addition to the economy and comfort of famillcik desirod, tho Cooler can also be furnished at a small expense with a Filtering Apparatus, made and for sale at
