The centennial examination questions are prepared by outside parLies in conjunction with the faculty. Prof. Roberts, of the Indianapolis High School, and some members of the faculty of the State University, are among those who assist in their preparation.
At the meeting of the Eclectic last Friday night, Miss Taylor read a description of an imaginary chair. It was very well gotten up, being amusing and betraying considerable creative power. After the reading each member of the sociaty was required to contrast Miss Taylor's imaginary chair with on8 of bis own 'construction. The exercise was a good one *in purpose, but very indifferently prepared.
If the Eclectic society will preserve itself intact and amount to a good society, it must have a better attendance of its members. Last night there was barely a quorum present when the meeting was called- It is to the interest of every one to attend every meeting if practicable nothing short of this fulfills the duty of a member.
It will be in order now, any time, to have a social. Acquaintanceship would be furthered and the wishes of many gratified. Let some one set the movement afoot.
The senior society of the school is without a President, or, at least, it_ is without one who kuows or cares to inform himself on parliamentary usage sufficiently to discharge his duties well. The duties are not so multiform and the knowledge of parliamentary law so profound, but that any one of ordinary ability, with proper efforts for information, may master them. As the matter now stands there is too much vacillation on the part, of the presiding officer. But the society has a remedy for continued and persevering incom potency—impeachment,

Bleeding from Lungs, Catnrrli, Bronchi1,is, Consumption. A Wonuerfol Cure.
ROCHESTER, N. Y., Jan. 13tb, 1874. R. Y. Pierce, L. D., Buffalo, N. Y.: DEAR SIR—I suffered from catarrh in an aggravated Jorm for about twelve years, and for several years Irom bronchial trouble. Tried many doctors and thiutss with nolastiug benefit. In May, '72 becoming nearly worn out with excessive editorial labors on a paper In New York City, I was attacked ith bronchitis in a severe form, suffering almost a total loss of voice. I returned home here, but had been home only two weeks when I was completely prostrated with hemorrhage trom the lungs, having four severe bleeding spells within two weeks, and first threo inside of nine days. In September following, I improved sufficiently to bo able to be about, though in a very feeble state. My bronchial trouble remained, awd the catarrh was tenfold worse than before. Every et fort for relief 9eemed fruitless. I seemed to be losing ground daily. I continued in this feeble state, raising blood almost daily until about the first of March, '73, when I became so bad as to be entirely confined to tho house.
A iriend suggested your remedies. But 1 was extremely skeptical that they would do me good, as I had lost all heart in remedies, and began to look upon medicine aud doctors with disgust. However, I obtained one of your circulars, and read it carefully, Irom •which I came to the conclusion that you understood your business, at least. I finally obtained a quantity of Dr. Sage's Catarrh Remedv, vour Golden
Medical Discovery and Pellets, and commenced their vigorous use according to directions. To my surprise I soon began to improve. The Discovery and Pellets, in a short time, brought out a severe eruption, which continued several weeks. I felt much
better, my appetite improved, and gained in strength and flesh. In three months every \^stige of the Catarrh was gone, the Bronchitis had nearly disappeared, had n0 Cough whatever, and I had entrely ceased to raise blood and, contrary to the expectation of some of my friends, the cure has re-
mained permanent. I hare had*no more Hemorrhages from the Lungs, and am entirely free irom Catarrh, frofli which I had suffered so much, and so long. The debt of gratitude owe for the blessing I have received at

rience, that your medicines will master the worst forms of that odious disease Catarrh, as well as Throat and Lung Diseases. I have recommended them to very many, and shall over speak in their praise.
Gratefully yours, WM. H. SPKNCHR.

Attention Parents.
Parents should not forget that the time spent by their children in idleness these long winter evenings might be used in gaining a good commercial "education. The Terre Haute Commercial College of Messrs. Garvin & Heinly has no superior as a business college, in tho country. A night session of the school is kept running during the winter months. To it their children might just as well as not now be going, and by so doing they will secure a business education which will be almost invaluable to them in after life.
