Some one remarked in the crowd, that as he refused to work, he should have his boots blacked. Hereupon a boot black offered his services, a dime was furnished, and his boots were blacked. Some one furnished a fine collar, another gave a cigar. Granville Lother said as he looked like a gentleman and as he wouldn't work he would furnish the prisoner with a plug bat. Every once iu a while the tramp with a ball and a chain to his leg, aud decked out with a white colar, a plug hat, &c. would call out with a loud voice. 'Work up vou lal orers!' It was a rare sight, and iurnished considerable amusement and pleasure for the crowd. "NEMO."
