Arrangements are being definitely concluded for the enteitainment to be given by the pupils of the High School on Christmas Eve. The Bo:trd of Health regret to state that hare aro two cases of small pox near the corner of Seventh and Poplar streets. As the cases cannot be removed, notification by a red liag has been made, and the community are advisad to recoguizo care and caution.
Parents are notified to li*V9 their children vaecinatod without furthor delay, and all attending public or private schools will be excluded unless ao pro. cected. Pure vacine coatler has been ordered, and a supply will bo in the hands of the physicians of the city to protect the citizens from this loathsome disease.
The Board of Health have deemed it most prudsut to state the facts as they exi3t, and respsctiully ask all citizsns to exercise care and prudonce to check the disease iu us beginning.

here, was a most eujoyful feature the concert, and he rendered his principal number—Kuckeu's "Heaven Hath Shed a Tear."—(with vioii obligato, by Prof. DeClerque), in eau'iiful style. His voice is of unusul range, and very pure in its quality of tone, and he did full justice to his work, creating an excellent impression.

Tno meetings do not seem to have lost any in interest s-.iuce the departure of Messrs. Munhall and Walts. The sermon last evening was preached by Rov. Alexauder Slerrett. He was followed by Rev. W. W. Abbey. The meeting which was held in tho Congregational church was largely attended. About twenty persons are reported to have become converted on Sunday.
