A YOUNG LADY teacher, at the Ffith Ward school, accidentally locked herself and part of her pupils in her room yesterday. As tbe key was lost, she could not get out. As tbe room had no connection with any other, con siderable commotion was caussd. Finally, by opening1" windows, a clear space was found between it and another ell corresponding to it in the building. A young man then managed to throw a screw driver to her, and the lock was taken off. White winged peace now reigns supreme.

To. the Public!
I tako this method of informing my friends, former patrons and others, that I have again embarked in the wholesale and retail Cigai and Tobacco trade, and will hercaiter conduct the int,u T. W. Howard's old stand, on South Sixth street, opposite tbe Postofflce. Mr. Howard, who is well and favorably known to the community, has been retained in my employ, and will be found ready at all times to attend to the wants of my customers. In establishing this business, I do so with the full determination, to get a lion's share of the retail trade. I have facilities, possessed by no other man in Terro Haute, for manufacturing cigars, and will sell all of my celebrated brands at retail for wholesale price?, and at wholesale for manufacturer's prices. These prices have been fixed upon the calculation that I will be paid lor all the goods I sell, and will therefore sell for cash only.
You will, by patronizing me, not only save money for yourself, but at the same time encourage home industry, and keep tbe money at home which would otherwise be sent abroad. I am determined to out-strip all competitors, and sell a bettor cigar at less price than any one: Call and examine.
Respectfully, N. KATZENBACH.

"O
wearisome condition of humanity!" How many wretched homes in our land! How rjsny heart-broken invalids! Lifo with many signifies a mere onorous existence. All are subjects to disease, but when health is removed* tbe hope is nearly gone out. Sickness is usually incurred through exposure and carelessness. Especially is this true with those diseases peculiar to woman. Through her own imprudence and folly she is made to drag out a miserable existence—a source of annoyance and anxiety to her friends, and anything but a comiort and pleasure to herself. Exposure to the cold at times when she should be most prudent, and overtaxing her body with laborious employment, are both fruitful causes of many of the maladies from which she suffers. Gradually the bloom leaves her cheeks, her lips grow asby white, her vivacity departs, she continually experiences a feeling of weariness and general languor, and altogether presents a ghostly appearance.
What does she need? Should she take some stimulating drug, which will for the time make her "feel better," or does her entire system demand reparation? She requires something which not only will restore to health the diseased organs, but will tone and invig orate the system.
