onstratod. That the boose affords superior advantages to the WOOL GROWERS OF THE WEST, as a medium for passing their wools into the hands of the manufsetureri is now no longer a question. But air bough a vety large another ol Wool Growers hare availed themselves of these advantages during the last four rears, yet, surprising as it nay appear to many, oar receipts have been larger from Merchants and Wool-buyers than /ram Wool-growers, and this may be accopntcd for mainly from the fact, thAt.as a class, Wool-grow-ers have been more easily influenced snd misled than the former, by Vic staUmeuteof a flew operators who are wholly opposed to all efforts having for their object the systems! isingaf the wool trade or thi enhancement of prices to the producer.

The past year, characterised as it has been by the most disastrous financial embarrassaients, has boen one fif the most" unfortanste for negotiating snd managing sales of wool, and the fact that the enterprise has been remarkably successfully, not withstanding these disadvantages, snd given almost universal satisfaction to consignors, should we think, inspire sufficient confidence to induce large consignments from wool-grow ere.
