NOTICR TO TAX PAYERS.
BY
DIRECTION OF THE COMMON COUNcil I hereby publish the following sections of the City Charter relative to Ute collection of Corporation Taxes, and notify the tux pnyers that I will execute tho provisions to the letter.
Sec 45. The clerk, under the dircc'ion of the common connciUhaH proceed to make out he tax duplicate for the current vear, and on or before the first Monday ef August of such year, shall deliver the same with ft warrant under ttie corporate seal, sigued by the Mayor ami attested by such Clerk, attached thereto/to the Treasurer ofsu.-h city, directing him that of the poods and chaltles of all and every person named insaid. duplicate, snd of all persons whose nnmcs shall be added thereto by him shall cause te be made, by distress and sale, if cefsary, thcamoc.ntof tsx charged against each of said nervons named in sail duplicate.

AH taxes npnn real e'tate shall, from the time the tax duplicate is completed, be lien thereon to the same extent as a judgment of a court of record, and shall have preference to any private charges upon the samej and all taxes upon personal property shall have preference over all private claims.
See. 48. The treasurer shall not bi required In any instance to make a demand of faxes from the person charged therewith, bat may.
