Fatal Affray.

At tlic Kentucky Station, in the edge of IS'lpar county, Ills., some fifteen miles from this city, on the T. II. A. K. li. dinieulty arose between Wtn. Watson and Win. Crouther, (both Englishmen.) while cnttinsc np or dividing a bejf «t the Tosidence of Wm. Watson. Hard words were parted and threat* made, but Mrs. Wntson, who was in the adjoining room paid no attention to the quarrel, having heard them frequently before. A few «eo» onds bad pasaod when sh» hoard something fall, and on going into the room Oronthor was lying across a nail keg apparently motionless. She picked him tip (her husband having fled) and asked him what ailed him,to which ho gave no reply. She, on further examination, found the blood streaming dawn his pantaloons from a gash cut entirely across the lower part of his abdomen which let his entrils out. lie died in three or foar minutos after Mrs, Watson had raised him up. In a few minutes Watson returned to his houa®, in company with Allan ThoiopaOBu and made no effort to escape.

From an examination by some Physicians it was found that Crouther hat! received a severe blow? on the head with a hammer which was found in the room.— From this blow it supposed he died, al* though the incision on the abdomen was from eight to ten inches long. Watson has been arrested, and is now »n proper custody. Allen Thompson was also arrested and compelled to give bail for his appearance before the Circuit Court at its next term on behalf of the Stat© of Illinois,

Watson and Crouther owned a mill in partnership* noar the station, and received a beef in some trade, and had taken it to Watson's honse to divide, over which this most y*fortunate difficulty aro», which coat Crouther his life. This transaction is to be very much regretted, from the fact tJkftjt b?th bad previously maintained respectable characters, »od were, for years, employed tn the shop of Me«sr« 0 rover, Oris wold Co,, I .1 fcamnAMttt
