The painter, Mr. Go* Qrosvenor, fell over thirty feet, and lit npon hi* feet. He was

The carpenter, when the scaffold broke loos* cought with hie left hand on the

top of a rafter that supported one end of

the scaffold and held on to it, (although it was stripped of every thing that held it

tip) antil a man ran acroaa the street and .pushed it over agaiuat the building, thus

giving him an opportunity to slide down, which saved him of a fall uf over thirty f*9t.
