tretUe work on the T. H. & Altoc R. R. hat settled so ronoh that passengers lum to pan over about tiro hundred yards of it on foot and t*ke a train kept in readioeas #n the etker side. B«t iilde delny is experienced from this inconvenience.— Notfcmg towards repairing can be dona until the «*ater nma oat ef the bottom. We have long thought thfct this part of the road should have been graded, and then *)1 wonld have been secure. There is plenty ef dirt close at hand, and if the grafting had been done tiw years ago, the past dry seamen* wonld have baked it no katd that no nsein the river could possibly have effected it In the least.
The Draw Bridge.
Two up Ann of the Torre-ILmtc Draw Bridge broke loose from their moorings yecterday morning, and floated down Stream. This will render it necessary to Rtart a ferry and k«v»p it up, perhaps, for (wo or three months, before the bridge can be repaired. The bottom road has withstood this immense use in tho river, and as this cm rent is now fi lling, all apprehension* as to the danger of the road have vanixhed., The piurs under the draw have settled considerable, but this can be easily
repaired.

A frtend writes to u.s f«r our "real oninion" of Dr. ROBACK'S SCANDINAVIAN REMEDIES—wh(Te he can ob'ain them—and why they are called "Scandinavian" and *e are frequently asked the same question. Scandinavia is tbc^ancient name of Sweden and Norway, and Scandinavian, ll)at a Swede or Norwegian, affectionately calls his country "Scandinavia" in the same sense us we speak of "Col'.imbia" or "The Union." By the wav, there are over nine thousand Scandinavian famelies in D.iue county, Wisconsin. As Dr. Robaek is a Swole by b:rtli and compounds his Modiciues of Swedish herbs, we think the name is very appropriate.
