off in the shipment of llailroad iron from Great Britain to the United States in the last three months of 1857, as compared with those of 1856. Thetwtnl of October, November and December, 1850, amounted to 21.479 tons while in the same months of 10t7 the aggregate is only 4*409 tons, a defieicncy of 17,070.
